Mental Health Nurse iAspire Care Services work alongside the Care Leaver's Charter to ensure each young person's placement is one that has excellent standards of service delivery. Our support packages are designed to identify needs to develop the practical and emotional skills required to live independently. We operate across London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and the Midlands. iAspire has 24 homes and counting offering both individual and shared support homes. Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our team. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to young people with mental health disorders. The Mental Health Nurse role:

  • Develop relationships with young people and provision staff to motivate and influence and drive recovery.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure the delivery of safe and clinically effective care.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans for young people with mental health conditions.
  • Provide support with medication as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor progress and responses to treatments, adjusting care plan as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and counselling to young people and potentially family members.
  • Educate young people on coping mechanisms and self-care strategies.
  • Apply skilled and meaningful interventions based on assessed needs.
  • Maintain records and care plans for each young person.
  • Provide feedback and advise to leadership teams on suggestions to improve young people’s mental health across the organisation.
This list is not exhaustive and acts as a guideline. Additional duties commensurate with the role may be requested from time to time, and in accordance with the needs of the organisation and the young care leavers we support. About you:
  • Experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current NMC pin number.
  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role.
  • Well informed of the Mental Health Act and have an understanding of latest nursing practices.
  • Commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk.
  • Compassionate, resilient and dedicated to empower and support young people towards independence.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in similar role.
  • Previous experience with young people is highly desired
