Wood Green School wishes to appoint a talented Head of Business to join our successful, forward-looking school. This is a brand new, permanent full-time post from September 2024, which recognises the growth in popularity of Business in our school. Business is thriving at both KS4 (six groups) and KS5 (three groups) and we have made the decision to appoint a dedicated leader of this important subject area. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed, passionate teacher who is ready to lead curriculum development.

Wood Green is an oversubscribed 11-18 Academy school in the thriving town of Witney, 10 miles west of Oxford. Our strong reputation and results improving year-on-year have led to a rapid rise in student applications. We believe strongly in a culture of mutual respect and strong relationships, and in developing the whole child. We trust our Heads of Department to be the experts in leading curriculum development, teaching and learning in their specialist areas.

The right candidate – Head of Business

You will be a talented teacher with a passion for teaching Business

You will show the ability to inspire students of all ages and abilities, including building on our thriving Young Enterprise programme

You will have high expectations of yourself, other staff and students and be committed to your professional development

You will be committed to playing a full role in leading the development of Business
