About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Research Associate with a proven background in industrial biotechnology pipeline projects. Join this dynamic team and contribute to pioneering advancements in biotechnology.
Essential Requirements:
- Education: BSc/MSc in Biological Sciences or a related field, showcasing a strong enthusiasm for lab-based research.
- Experience: Over 2 years of practical laboratory experience.
Skills:
- Precise execution of experimental protocols.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Molecular biology proficiency, including:
- Accurate preparation of stock solutions.
- DNA isolation, quality control, and sequencing techniques.
- Expertise in PCR & qPCR.
- Molecular cloning using methods such as Gibson assembly, Golden Gate, and restriction digestion.
- RNA isolation and management.
- Familiarity with display-based technologies.
- Microbiology skills, including:
- Superior aseptic technique.
- Preparation and transformation of electrocompetent cells.
- Conducting bacterial plate-based reporter expression assays.
- Archiving bacterial strains.
- Record Keeping: Excellent attention to detail in maintaining precise records.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of display-based technologies.
- Experience in protein engineering and mutagenesis library design.
- Proficiency with PyMol or similar molecular visualization software.
- Competence in real-time PCR.
- Experience in Illumina sequencing library preparation.
- Engagement in genetic code expansion projects and awareness of the latest relevant peer-reviewed research.
