With a focus on sustainable and impactful projects, we are expanding our EHV/HV team and seeking a talented Senior Project Manager with expertise in Extra high-voltage (EHV) cabling to lead and drive the success of our talented team on large scale project work.
As a Senior Project Manager with EHV cabling experience, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full project lifecycle of high-voltage cabling projects. This role requires a seasoned professional who can effectively lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure the successful execution of projects within scope, budget, and timeline. Lead and manage high-voltage cabling projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise in HV cabling design, installation, and testing phases of projects.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality assurance teams to optimize project performance.
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and challenges to ensure successful project delivery.
Foster strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Manager with a focus on high-voltage cabling projects, with a minimum of 20 years of successful project delivery.
In-depth knowledge of high-voltage cabling design, installation, and testing processes.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
Educated to degree level (preferably in an engineering, business or project management discipline) (Essential)
A recognised project management professional qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM Project Management Qualification) (Essential).
Extensive experience of working in a high hazard industry or major infrastructure projects (Essential).
Experience of working on major EHV and HV Cabling projects
g NEBOSH, IOSH)
Experience in contract management including a detailed understanding of contract methodologies and the management of commercial risk.
Proven performance of successfully leading and delivering large complex projects to time, cost, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and legislation including procurement, environment, and health & safety.
Have an appreciation of heavy lifting and large cable pulling activities.

Ability to meet targets in a commercial environment.
People management skills and ability to motivate and engage staff.
The ability to deliver strong financial performance in a contracting environment.
A proven understanding of safety and quality management
Personal integrity, resilience and the robustness needed to operate in a fast changing highly commercial contracting environment.
