CDM Consultant at Eurosafe UK

Eurosafe UK is the specialist Health & Safety and fire safety division of Tersus Consultancy, a leading construction compliance consultancy in the UK. They operate across the UK and Ireland, ensuring health and safety risk management in various property sectors including commercial, retail, industrial, and residential. With a growing focus on building safety and compliance, they are seeking an experienced CDM Consultant to join their team in multiple locations across the UK.

Job Purpose:

To act as a CDM Consultant/Principal Designer as specified in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 on behalf of Eurosafe UK Clients, with a progression toward the Senior CDM Consultant role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out the day-to-day operations of the CDM Consultant Team
  2. Liaise with Clients, Designers, and Contractors to fulfill duties under the CDM Regulations
  3. Attend construction project design reviews and design team meetings
  4. Advise Clients, Designers, and Contractors on their duties under the CDM Regulations
  5. Attend pre-start and progress meetings
  6. Conduct site safety inspections on construction sites and prepare reports
  7. Prepare Pre-construction Health and Safety Information for projects
  8. Review and prepare Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments, and Method statements
  9. Carry out other duties in line with job status and level of responsibility
Experience/Skills Required:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, ideally in health and safety role
  • Understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and prioritize work
  • Good level of IT skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Technician Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
  • Previous CDM Coordination experience within a consultancy organization
