We are most well-known for running Mental Health Awareness Week across the UK each year. Change policy andpractice
We propose solutions and campaign for change to address the underlying cause of poormental health.
Build a strong foundation
The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) to support ourScotland, Wales and Northern Ireland teams.
This exciting Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) role will manage a portfolio of policy andinfluencing activities and play a significant role developing the Foundation’s policy and public affairs work inScotland. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading charities and deliver social change byaddressing the root causes of mental health problems and improving the mental health of people in Scotland.
Providing policy intelligence and analysis and writingevidence-based submissions, policy reports, position papers, briefings and blogs
Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
Skillin building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, electedrepresentatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experienceinequity
Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and publicaffairs approaches and work
• Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field

We have moved to a hybrid working model of aminimum of 2 days per week in the office and the rest working from home.
A fantastic opportunity has become available within the Fundraising & Engagement Team to deliver significantincome from two key income streams and sustain our mission to ensure nobody faces dementia alone.
The Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator will report to the Fundraising & Engagement Leader, contributing tothe delivery of our strategic objectives.
Whilst the role will work collaboratively to support all income streams, we are particularly keen to hear from anyonewho has prior Corporate Partnership and/or Major Donor experience.
You will be aself-starter, comfortable working independently, who thrives on building meaningful relationships. Successful applicants will have a positive attitude towards dementia, along with excellent communication skills and acaring manner. A pro-active approach to learn and participate in training will also be expected.

If so, you can be part of a National Team of Post Diagnostic Support Link Workers (PDS Link Workers) providinghigh-quality, person-centred support to people living with dementia and their families for a minimum of a yearfollowing diagnosis in line the Scottish Government’s minimum guarantee.
The aim of the PDS National Service is to enable people to live well with dementia and is centred around AlzheimerScotland's 5 pillar model so that people move on to a period of supported self- management.
The model includes understanding the illness and coming to terms with the diagnosis, peer support, connecting andmaintaining links with their community along with planning for future care and decision making to develop anoutcome focused plan to support their future hopes, desires and aspirations.
Supporting our Perth locality, the post will be based within the North Perthshire Community Mental Health Team.Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve somevirtual meetings and on-line groups.
Applicants must hold a recognised relevant professional qualification, have a good understanding of dementia and howit affects people and their families along with excellent communication skills, a warm flexible approach,combined with skills in empathy and relationship building.

We are recruiting for a Research Officer who will work within the Foundation’s Scotland Research Team to support andlead delivery of evaluation and research projects for partner organisation See Me. Alongside its role asmanaging partner of See Me, the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) works in partnership with the programme todeliver its research, learning and evaluation functions. Designing and leading evaluation and research projects across a dynamic programme of work, with the support of awider team, using mixed method approaches (quantitative and qualitative)
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Foundation and with key partners, wider stakeholders andfunders.
• Demonstrable experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative evaluation activities including data collection,analysis, interpretation and dissemination of findings.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of producing clear reports, articles andpresentations for a range of audiences.
