To support their future model development, we are seeking a talented and passionate Electronics Engineer join their Electrical/Electronic Components Engineering Team. As part of this team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing pioneering electrical and electronic components for integration into their motorbikes.
Key Responsibilities As Electronics Engineer
Design electrical electronic components for various motorcycle systems including chassis, powertrain, RESS, electric drivelines, suspension systems, and HMI's.
EMC regulations, and legal requirements.
Identify and resolve application problems and project risks at both component and motorcycle levels.
Define and meet quality/cost targets and manage component delivery to support New Model Introduction Plan (NMIP).
Elicit and manage hardware requirements, providing support to Functional Safety (FuSa) activities such as diagnostic coverage and safety case generation, as well as collaborating with systems, software, and modeling teams.
Generate and participate in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) generation/review.
Develop hardware and full motorcycle architectures to maximise hardware commonality and control variants using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
Provide close support during prototype and production build phases to promptly identify and resolve electrical issues.
Liaise regularly with product planning, project managers, manufacturing departments, quality, compliance, and various engineering teams.
Collaborate with existing worldwide suppliers and identify potential new suppliers to ensure the timely introduction of new components.
Generate procedures, technical reports, specifications, and drawings for internal and external stakeholders to facilitate controlled information flow and project development progression.
Qualifications And Skills As Electronics Engineer
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred for Senior Engineer level.
Extensive experience in electronics design, preferably within the automotive or motorcycle industry.
Strong understanding of system engineering principles, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with fault analysis methodologies such as FTA and FMEA.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools is advantageous.
Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and chair work product review meetings.
