Swansea Council Parks and Cleansing services aim to ensure that all our parks remain a safe and friendly place, so everyone can enjoy the range of events and activities that take place throughout the year and that the public realm is kept clean as far as is reasonably practicable.

Purpose of the role:

Manage service specific digital systems in the Parks & Cleansing service areas, supervising their data and providing technical advice to management and users on correct usage and compliance.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Experience in managing systems including but not limited to Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), Parks Maintenance System (PMS), Tree Management software, Asset Management Applications, SharePoint, and any other systems used to support service delivery.
  • To lead onboarding and implementation/rollout of service specific IT hardware and software solutions and undertake ongoing IT development work within service areas to develop solutions ensuring a proactive approach is taken to meet changing customer needs/service provision.
  • To assist in specification and procurement of IT hardware and software solutions.

A few crucial candidate requirements:

  • A relevant degree or part qualified professional, Systems Administrator Professional Certification e.g. MCSA or equivalent skills and experience
  • A demonstrably high level of technical competence commensurate with the role.
