Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk Location: Dolgarrog, Wales Duration: 3 Weeks (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) Salary: £14-£18 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate has experience with accounting software, strong analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Duties:

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims in a timely manner
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
  • Provide support to the finance team as needed
Skills:
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday or PeopleSoft is a plus
  • Experience with Sage or other similar accounting software is preferred
  • Strong data entry skills
