Title - Commercial Real Estate Associate

PQE Range - 1 - 4 Years PQE

Ortus Group is a leading mid-market law firm based in smart offices in the heart of the City of London. This firm provide a comprehensive legal service to a wide range of businesses and private individuals, the client base includes multinationals, public and private companies, partnerships, public sector organisations and private clients.

The Commercial Real Estate team is recommended by Legal 500 and by Chambers and Partners. It is part of the wider Real Estate Services department which also comprises the practice groups of Real Estate Litigation and contentious and non-contentious Construction. The firm also has a Residential Property team that specialises in high value London prime real estate.

The department’s culture is a very supportive one and there is an emphasis on a high level of professionalism and encouragement of members of the department to develop their potential and to raise the firm's profile for its depth of expertise in real estate matters.

The Commercial Real Estate Team

The Commercial Real Estate team currently consists of seven partners, a consultant, four associates, a trainee and a paralegal.

The firm act for several household names and public limited companies, as well as a wide range of investors, developers and retailers, sovereign wealth funds, based both in the UK and overseas. In addition the firm also act for many individuals of significant wealth as well as family offices, trusts and charities.

The candidate will need to have knowledge and experience of:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant, commercial investment sales and purchases. They will need to be able to handle all leasehold related issues, whether for a landlord or tenant, and support partners on multimillion pound real estate transactions, including commercial, retail and mixed use properties.
