Associate Transport Planner - Required for our client in Bristol. The Transport Planner will be joining a well-known and respected Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who provide a range of services within the Civil and Structural Engineering sector as well as the Geotechnical and Infrastructure. The company operate over 4 offices, with a team of 100 employee's. The Associate Transport Planner is really for a self-starter able to grow the Bristol team.
The Associate Transport Planner will be working on a range of projects within Transport and Highways team. The Ideal Transport Planner will have a minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience within a similar role. The Transport Planner will be carrying out site appraisals, feasibility studies and transport assessments, statements to accompany planning applications. The Transport Planner will have experience of traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments.
Associate Transport Planner Position Overview
Prepare transport assessments, statements and travel plans to accompany planning applications
Carry out Road Safety Audits and Non-Motorised User Audits - WCHAR Assessments
Undertake highway design work for various schemes to include S278, S184 and S38 works
Prepare appraisals, feasibility studies and pre application advice for a range of commercial, educational and residential developments
Prepare evidence when required to support local planning inquiries and planning appeals
Associate Transport Planner Position Requirements
Qualified to Degree level
Chartered in an appropriate subject discipline (advantageous)
Experience with highway design and Road Safety Audit
The ability to be able to deal with clients and other professionals
Experience building a team would be advantageous
Experience in preparing complex transport assessments
Traffic modelling experience
Experience using VISSIM or SATURN
Experience of promoting large scale residential development through the Local Plan process, with associated preparation of relevant evidence base
