Our client is currently looking to recruit several Machinists for a minimum 6-month contract due to an increase in production requirements. These positions are based in a busy factory environment and will involve operating coil winding machines and performing basic stores duties. Role Overview: The Machinist positions will require individuals to operate coil winding machines efficiently and accurately, while also handling basic stores duties. The ideal candidates will exhibit attention to detail, quality focus, and safety consciousness. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Operate coil winding machines as required. Ensure machines are running smoothly and report any issues to the supervisor. Stores Duties: Perform basic stores duties, including handling materials and ensuring proper storage. Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organization in the work area. Ensure accuracy in number transfer and attention to detail in all tasks. Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination and observation skills. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safety-conscious approach. Work methodically but efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed without cutting corners.Skills & Competencies: Clear handwriting for accurate record-keeping. High standard of housekeeping. Good hand/eye coordination and observation skills. Methodical and fast approach to tasks. Quality-driven with strong attention to detail. Flexible and versatile, able to adapt to different tasks as needed. PC literate and comfortable working with computers.Additional Qualifications: Preferable: Counter Balance Forklift license (not essential).Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (days and nights) on a 4 on/4 off rotation (Monday to Sunday).Pay Rates: £16.49 per hour (inclusive of shift premium).Application Process: If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity, please apply promptly.
