Join one of Europe's largest fuel storage and logistics businesses as an experienced Control and Instrument Engineer with PLC/SCADA experience and knowledge of the COMAH regulations. This role involves a mix of home-based work and regular travel to the client's South West region (Bristol & South Wales).

The RoleSupport the project teams by providing onsite C&I engineering lead, ensuring risks to plant and equipment operation are recognized, assessed, and mitigated. Develop migration plans and solutions for efficient migrations for business continuity and safe operations. Provide technical support to maintenance teams, operations, and the wider Technology team. Manage on-site subcontractors for field equipment installation, control systems, and industrial network installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Review/develop C&I P&ID modifications, C&E diagrams, instruments datasheets, etc.
- Produce/review engineering deliverables such as Datasheets, Loop Drawings, Cable Schedules, etc.
- Review installation designs, resolve issues, and develop commissioning plans.
- Provide support for DCS, SIS systems, PLC, SCADA systems, attend and sign off FAT's.
- Supervise on-site works, field equipment installation, commissioning, SAT sign off.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting of control and instrumentation equipment with detailed reporting.
- 5-10 years C&I working experience with relevant qualifications and industry-based experience.
- Experience in hazardous area equipment selection and modifications to control systems (DCS/ESD/SIS and PLC/SCADA).
- Basic knowledge of cyber security standards.
- Significant experience in DCS, SCADA, PLC support, fault finding, instrumentation, and systems setup/configuration.
- Knowledge of COMAH regulations.
