ob Overview:
We are working with a national charity seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of security measures.
The role can be fully remote or if preferred you can work from the office in their Birmingham or London office.
Responsibilities:
  • Working across the Charity, taking responsibility for embedding compliance with the Charitys ISO27001 certification requirements.
  • Line management responsibility for the Information Security Officer and the Corporate Policy & Assurance Officer.
  • To lead on the development and maintenance data privacy programme and policy framework.
  • To support strategic activities by working closely with the Head of Performance and Assurance and relevant colleagues across the Charity.
  • To work across the Charity to track delivery against the Charitys corporate plan initiatives and assurance framework.
  • To establish systems which ensure effective management of complaints and complements across the charity and establish a learning culture from the effective analysis of complaints.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the programme management office to track delivery and impact against the Charity corporate plan initiatives.
Leading on the collation of progress reporting metrics for consideration at the Executive Leadership Team and within the Charitys governance structures.
To work with the leadership team to develop strategic plans that align to the Charitys overall corporate plan.
Act as Lead Officer in the maintenance of ISO27001 certification.
Working closely with the ICT team and key managers across the charity to ensure Information Security Management System is implemented effectively.
People Management
Lead team by example by upholding values and behaviours and translating those into everyday active direction for a team/direct report to deliver the organisational and local priorities a. Be prepared to make difficult decisions and support direct reports to make difficult decisions.
Own and ensure that this is replicated through your management chain.
Take responsibility for the communication of organisational and local messages through regular and effective team meetings and ensure that this is cascaded through your line.
Set clear objectives and performance targets for each direct report using the appraisal process and monitor through regular one to ones and ensure that your direct reports do the same.
