Maintenance Operative (Ad-hoc hours)

The position of Maintenance Operative involves:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs on MHE equipment, report faults, and collaborate with suppliers for timely fixes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the depot, ensuring the building's integrity meets company standards.
  • Assist in carrying out work on site, adhering strictly to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
  • Follow maintenance schedules as directed by the Depot Supervisor to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks, acting to minimise cost and operational impact.
  • Adhere to Company Safe Systems of Work and Company Rule Book, maintaining the highest standards.
  • Identify, document and report maintenance issues/repair work.
  • Attend regular training sessions.

Essential Skills required for Maintenance Operative:

  • Experience in a strong H&S culture.
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Able to maintain and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Have excellent communication skills.
