The CDIO will be responsible for the development and delivery of the digital strategy, management of the Digital team and for bringing together our digital capacity across the new organisation to work collaboratively.
We are actively investing in improving internal digital capabilities and processes and are looking for a CDIO who can bring these programmes together to ensure maximum impact.
This position will have a high level of independence and accountability and will provide digital leadership and capability to both Trust Boards.
Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KHFT) are two fantastic organisations - already closely integrated through our Committee in Common and on a journey towards formal merger by the end of 2024.
Across both trusts, we employ over 4,500 colleagues providing services to our residents across South West London, across a broad range of clinical specialties.

Accountable to the Chief Executive, the CDIO will be the senior manager responsible for the overall delivery of digital,informatics and information governance capabilities. This role will lead the digital transformation to meet organisationaland partnership objectives and to realise the expected benefits.
The CDIO will provide strategic IT leadership and professional advice to the Executive Team and Trust Board, senior managers and clinicians in line with both local and national requirements, sharing expertise on healthcare IT, best practice methodologies, regulatory (including IG) requirements, policy imperatives, innovation and technological developments.
The CDIO will manage the Digital, informatics and information governance teams and work with partner organisations toensure that services deliver to expected standards and timescales. The post holder will work with the Trust Board,Directors, senior clinicians, managers, and other key stakeholders in the wider community, in order to support thedevelopment and implementation of:
Partner organisation digital strategies and delivery plans
National and regional (SWL ICS) strategic digital priorities
Provide leadership and professional advice on IT issues for all digital stakeholders.
Masters or postgraduate degree in an IT, project, or programme specialism
Programme, project or change management (MSP, PRINCE2, AGILE or CHANGE equivalent), or equivalent level of experience.
Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
Experience of supplier and contract management in a multi-vendor environment.
Experienced in developing data quality solutions in a complex environment, with significant negotiation and contract management experience.
Experience of developing and managing a sizeable, value-adding IT function within a large organisation, with the motivational skills to encourage collaborative working across the technical departments within the IT department where there may be resistance to change.
Experience of business development and commercial acumen.
Ability to plan strategically in the medium and longer term.
Ability to demonstrate a strong desire to improve performance and make a difference
