Manual QA Engineer

We are seeking a Junior to Middle-level Manual QA with some Java Automation skills (being able to create a basic UI automation using Selenium with Java for example). Candidates should have no more than 5 years of experience.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Up to 5 years of QA experience
  • Team player with a positive attitude, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience with UI automation using Selenium, BDD, and Java
  • Prepared to perform manual functional testing, especially early in the project, with a shift to automation in later stages
  • Knowledge of performing Automation Proof of Concepts, testing estimations, planning, setting up test automation environments, defining automation scope, feasibility analysis, maintenance, and execution of scripts
  • Experience collaborating with development and project teams to understand requirements, gather information, and coordinate test case development, execution, and defect management

Role Description:

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will plan, organize, and control all test activities, ensuring our applications and technical environments meet requirements. You will work within a team responsible for testing applications and end-to-end flows.

Experience and Skills:

  • UI automation using Selenium
  • Cucumber or similar BDD framework
  • Writing tests in Java
  • Implementing or improving/refactoring testing automation frameworks
  • Manual test execution
  • Creation of test scenarios and cases
  • Defect raising
  • Expertise in automating web, mobile, and Windows applications with various tools
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Agile methodology experience

Nice to Have:

  • Financial services experience
  • Scrum experience
  • Test plan formulation
  • Data reconciliation between systems
