About the role
- Managing our approach to EngagementQuality Control Review and hot review teams, undertaking reviews andproviding live feedback to audit teams
- Supporting our auditteams through regulatory file inspections
- Activelysupporting and contributing to relevant technical groups including NAOtechnical networks and a range of panels and boards
- Developing and delivering training for public sector auditors
- Responding to audit approach queries from auditors and providingad hoc support for audit teams on complex issues
- Draftingresponses to consultations on public sector audit matters
- Supporting the PS AQST director in delivering VFM consistency panels,reviews and challenge to audit teams and engagement leads
What are we looking for?
- Good knowledge of theNAO Code of Audit Practice and how this is applied in local governmentand NHS sectors in England
- Good understanding of underlyingInternational Standards on Auditing (UK)
- Ability to buildeffective relationships with a wide range of internal and externalstakeholders
- A keen interest in developing our business andour people and contributing to our continuing growth in the publicsector
