Job Summary:

The Senior Directory Services Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization's directory services environment, with a focus on Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. The role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation of security vulnerabilities to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of directory services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with directory services, cybersecurity best practices, and remediation strategies for Microsoft environments.

Key Responsibilities:

~ Directory Services Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments. Ensure directory services performance, availability, and security. Advanced PowerShell Scripting. Hands-on design and implementation of multi-tiered PKI architecture in both multi-forest and mixed Unix/Linux environments. Deep understanding of: DNS, Kerberos, ADLDS, Permissions and Delegations, Role Based Access (RBAC), Replication, Schema Management, Extension, MS IIS Administration. Manage certificates in multiple systems


~ Cybersecurity Remediation: Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities within the Microsoft technology stack, focusing on directory services. Implement best practices for securing directory environments against potential threats.


~ Policy and Compliance: Develop and enforce directory services policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.


~ Incident Response: Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and remediation of incidents affecting directory services.


~ Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to support security initiatives, projects, and audits. Provide expert guidance and support for directory services and cybersecurity issues.


~ Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to directory services security posture.


~ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for directory services configurations, policies, and procedures. Prepare reports on security posture, incidents, and remediation activities.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 – 10 years of experience in directory services management, with a focus on Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory).
Proven experience in cybersecurity, specifically in vulnerability assessment and remediation within Microsoft environments.
Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and security principles.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to information security.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or similar.
Advanced experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks and remediation activities.
