About the role:

We are seeking a capable and experienced Maintenance Manager tooversee all maintenance activities within our Rail ProductsDepartment. The successful candidate will be responsible forleading a team of around 30 maintenance employees to ensure thereliability and optimal performance of our diverse range ofequipment through effective preventative maintenance strategies andtimely problem-solving. As a key member of our leadership team, theMaintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving safety,quality, and operational excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all maintenance activities to achieve targetedlevels of equipment availability and performance.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance programsaligned with production and business priorities.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary maintenance team, fostering aculture of safety, quality, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering and Site Servicesto develop capital plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of the business andintegrate key initiatives to ensure sustainable growth andprofitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards,and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage financial and procurement delegations in accordancewith company guidelines.

Experience, Qualifications, and CompetencyRequirements:

  • Proven experience in successfully managing maintenanceteams in manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Engineering or trade qualifications preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills across mechanical andelectrical equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on teambuilding and development.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills, with a trackrecord of delivering improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach and ability toprioritise business objectives.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
