Learning Support Assistant*

Immediate Start

An ‘outstanding’ SEND school in Newcastle is looking for a learning support assistant to work with a class of 6 pupils with autism. Each class has around 3 to 4 LSA’s and the school provides amazing training on communication, sensory strategies and behaviour management for new members of staff.

Supporting the pupils in their education through the schools own curriculum
Supporting the class teacher with recording attainment, behaviour plans and EHCP paperwork
Following the schools behaviour management policy effectively
Be available for work Monday to Friday
Have some experience with autism (desirable but not essential)
Candidates with no experience but a willingness to learn are welcome to apply
