Job Description Bank Healthcare Assistant – Pre Operative Assessment | Leicester | Flexible Hours Spire Leicester Hospital is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly Pre-Assessment Team on a bank basis. We offer fast access to high-quality healthcare, from consultations and advanced diagnostics to personalised treatment, complex surgery and expert aftercare Duties And Responsibilities As a Healthcare Assistant in Pre-Assessment, you will work alongside our clinical team to support patients preparing for surgery. Your duties will include: Assisting with pre-operative assessments including observations Supporting nurses and clinicians in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures Accurately documenting patient information and escalating any concerns Providing reassurance and clear information to patients Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone with: Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confidence in taking basic clinical observations Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekdays and weekends as needed A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to patient care NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable We offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to: 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays Employer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement options 'Spire for you' reward platform - discount and cashback for over 1000 retailers Free Bupa wellness screening Private medical insurance Life assurance We commit to our employees well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
