We are looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer at our office at Pontyclun, Cardiff CF72 9FQ .

In this role you will support the field service operation by preparing new photocopier equipment, refurbishing second-hand equipment and repairing faulty equipment returned to the workshop.
This is an ideal role for someone with computer literacy, practical technical skills and able to use manual tools.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30-5.00

Responsibilities

  • Preparing new and refurbishing equipment in accordance with the current SHARP documented set up procedure, to meet delivery date expectations.
  • Ensure all accessories are installed as stated on the PDI ( Pre Delivery Inspection ) document.
  • Ensure all settings as noted in the site survey connectivity form are inputted.
  • Ensure all relevant supplies are packaged securely and safely with the device when complete.
  • Ensure the equipment and all accessories are clearly labelled to ensure the delivery team pick and load accurately.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, and that the Service Management system is updated on completion of all relevant tasks.
  • Provide support and cover when necessary for other roles.
  • Ad hoc tasks to assist the operation of logistics and service support.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of equipment from delivery vehicles.
  • Assist warehouse staff when required.
  • Assist with delivery, installation, and collection as instructed.
  • Manage stock as appropriate.

Essential skills

  • Ideally competent at using computers with basic experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Technical aptitude is essential in order to set up equipment as per the factory’s specification.
  • Analytical problem-solving approach to electromechanical faults.
  • Being able to demonstrate manual dexterity when using tools.
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates an enthusiastic and 'can do' approach.
  • Takes personal pride in all work produced.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a team and unsupervised.
