Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Head of Service within the Prevention Advice Information & Access Team to work Full Time based in Hull.
The salary for this permanent Head of Service job is up to £70,228 per annum .



Supports other key makers e.g. operational managers, principal social worker and legal colleagues to ensure decisions are informed by ethical assessment and judgement.
Leads on identifying and mitigating service area risks and issues including robust monitoring and recording, escalating to the senior leadership team when necessary.
Leads on innovation and implementation of digital and technology systems and solutions to support and sustain people’s independence.
Works collaboratively with people, their carers, families, friends and advocates to design, develop and evaluate delivery of services.
Operate and implement effective performance management and quality assurance system as agreed with strategic lead for Integration and Wellbeing to manage a service, team and individual performance.
Lead within area of responsibility a strong culture of seeking and valuing feedback from people, carers, families and advocates ensuring complaints and feedback is valued, understood and well connected to the compliant and feedback process in ASC.
Maintain consistent and robust decision making by examining and verifying Deprivation of Liberty authorisations, responses to complaints and observations of practice and other related decisions delegated as per Head of Service.
Leads by example and provides a leadership approach which is strengths-based, understands and demonstrated person centred practice and is committed to ongoing professional development through a range of approaches including supervision, practice forums, mentoring and coaching.
To ensure that relevant and appropriate statutory functions that fall within the service area are met and performance monitored and reported.
Effectively deputise for Strategic Lead and/or Director of Adult Social Care participating professionally and confidently reporting promptly on key outcomes and actions.
Is a key decision maker, ensuring services are provided equitably through consistent decision making and in accordance with statutory duties and delegations.
Requirements of this Head of Service role:
Relevant Social Work experience.
Extensive successful experience of working in a complex environment with substantial experience at a senior Management level gained over a number of years.
A successful track record of managing change, service reconfiguration and achieving improvements.
Experience of leading and building effective diverse teams.
