Corporate Associate / Senior Associate

Glasgow / Edinburgh

4+ PQE

£75,000+

Venari Legal are delighted to be working with one of the leading international law firms who are looking to add an experienced Corporate solicitor to either their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

With the nature of the firm you will have the opportunity for cross border work and international transactions across key industry sectors whilst primarily getting the opportunity to work for excellent clients across the Scotland and UK market.

You will be responsible for a variety of work in a broad based role including:

  • Drafting principal documents for Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Venture Capital investments and Equity Capital Markets transactions
  • Providing efficient professional support to partners
  • Developing professional client relationships
  • Supporting the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm
  • Involvement in marketing events
  • Managing and supervising the work of others including junior associates and trainees.

The successful candidate will have excellent drafting skills, be able to manage transactions work and the ability to translate legal theory into practical advice. This role is client facing so you will need to have sound judgement and good interpersonal and consultancy skills. Ideally you will have gained at least 4 years experience in a similar size of law firm and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients is essential.
