My client have a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding Petrborough Cambridgeshire based Painting division ,( dont be discouraged if you dont have painting experience this is a ‘nice to have’ though please mention any decorating/ painting quotation experience if you do have it

£competitive + car or allowance 6.5K , Profit share looking like 10% this year , private health, pension, life etc

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite therefore, you are fully involved from tendering and estimating through to final accounts, with the ability to have a real impact on our profitability and our commercial success.

* Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any risks

* Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning

* Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure productivity targets are agreed and issued before contract start, including direct labour incentives and sub-contractor management

* The ability to demonstrate ownership of contracts, including estimating/ tendering, cost control, CVR management through to final accounts.

You will be analytical, organised, and honest as well as being a genuine ‘people person’ who relishes in communicating effectively with clients, trade teams and immediate colleagues fostering a real ‘working together’ environment.
