The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Product Strategy team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future products. Collaborate across functions with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to strike the perfect balance between customer needs, brand identity, and business objectives. Your work will be pivotal in defining exciting and compelling products that will set us apart in the market and ensure long-lasting value for our customers.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a profound understanding of the automotive industry and its evolving landscape—covering market sizing, customer preferences, emerging trends, and cutting-edge technologies. Your insights will drive the creation of each product and how we will succeed in each of our markets.

What will you do?

Market Intelligence:

  • Lead global market intelligence activities and analysis, including monitoring of registration data, pricing transaction data, market and segment growth trends and future forecasts.
  • Develop a regular reporting format/forum to ensure the Senior Leaderships teams are aware of latest Market occurrences and latest Consumer Insight findings.
  • Conduct PESTLE analysis to stay abreast of external factors and Mega trends.

Market Reports

  • Collate competitor and new to market product information in an easy to understand format for publication across the business. Including coverage of new market entrants and motor shows.
  • Develop ‘Market Scorecards’ to support the review of future markets, the volume forecast for these markets and the transaction of these volumes into the Cycle Plan.

Registration Data

  • Liaise with our agency partners to ensure we have robust and accessible datasets at our disposal to critique, study and forecast industry trends.
  • Manage relationships with existing data providers and be data inquisitive with regard to exploring new data sources and opportunities.

Pricing

  • Liaise with Pricing Analysts to surface market pricing data including Price-Volume analysis and Transactional Price data.

Other Insights

  • Collaborate with other Product specialists to surface research and insights from all Product areas to the wider business.

Additionally you will need to:

  • Understand current and upcoming market legislation and ensure this is factored into volume planning activities.
  • Support the Market Planning and Lifecycle Volume Manager in the preparation of Programme gateways, meetings and escalation forums.

Who are you?

  • Qualification (degree or higher) ideally in a STEM subject..
  • Experience in new mobility and electrification desired but not essential
  • Proven track record of working with agencies and data providers.
  • A thorough knowledge of market trends and analysis methodology covering both macroeconomics and automotive segments.
