As Venterra continues to expand, we are on the lookout for a UK & Rest of the World Manager to enhance our team. The selected candidate will be employed through Ordtek and will work from our Hethel, Norwich office.
Role Description:
Below are minimum requirements for the job and cannot be negated by additional experience. If you do meet all the following requirements, please do not apply.
- A degree in engineering, geophysics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the offshore survey, geoscience, or UXO industry, with a proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects.
As the UK and Rest of the World Manager, you will be responsible for managing the projects for all territories except for Europe. Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful implementation of Venterra's services and solutions, while adhering to local regulations within each territory.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Establish and maintain a strong presence for Venterra globally, acting as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and local professional communities. Collaborate with the Venterra leadership team to help develop and implement a strategic business plan to drive growth and achieve financial targets in line with the company's overall objectives.
- Oversee all technical operational aspects of the UK office, including project management, resource allocation, budgeting, and reporting to the group.
- Help grow and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, implementing and maintaining robust operational procedures, safety protocols, and risk management practices.
- Foster strong relationships with key clients, identifying their specific needs and tailoring Venterra's services and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, attending industry conferences, and networking to expand Venterra's presence and market share.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation.
Desired experience:
- Familiarity with the UXO risk management industry, including survey and clearance techniques, is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire teams, drive performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent business development and strategic planning skills, coupled with a customer-focused mindset. Demonstrated ability to identify and seize new opportunities for growth.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
- Multilanguage skills desirable but not essential.
- Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Proven ability to implement and maintain robust compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex situations, identify potential risks, and develop practical solutions to ensure project success.

Education/ Qualifications:
- Hold a University Degree in engineering, geophysics or related discipline.

Own transport is essential due to the location of the office.
