This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme quality professional to make a difference at a charityproviding vital services to families across the UK. The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) is a family-friendlyemployer with an excellent reputation for quality-assured services, evidence-based training and information. TheProgramme Quality Manager is a member of BfN’s Senior Management Team. You will use your skills and experiencein data and management of an experienced, multi-disciplinary team to support your colleagues to continuallyimprove the impact, sustainability, effectiveness and relevance of our work and so to enhance BfN’s ability toinfluence and secure diverse funding sources. We are a Scottish registered charity making a difference to womenand families across the UK.

We fund a variety of child and family services, innovative medical equipment, research and enhancements, giving youthe opportunity to seek funds for a diverse range of projects.

About Us

Home-Start Renfrewshire and Inverclyde (HSRI) is a registered charity providing volunteer led, family centred,non-judgmental support to families with at least one child aged under five.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families
  • Introducing families to appropriatesupport
  • Matching and introducing volunteers tofamilies
  • Providing support, supervision and on-going training opportunities forvolunteers
  • Undertaking designated responsibilities to safeguard children’s welfare
  • Ensuringequality of opportunity, fairness, inclusion and diversity in all aspects of our work
  • Complying with thescheme’s administration, monitoring and financial systems
  • Ensuring appropriate liaison with referrersand other professionals
  • Contributing to and supporting the development of the Home-Startnetwork

Family Mediation West provides support to families affected by separation, divorce, and conflict. We have premises inGlasgow and Kilmarnock allowing us to offer services across the West of Scotland. We are affiliated toRelationship Scotland, who support a national network of 22 local service providers for individuals, couples andfamilies experiencing relationship problems. The values and the standards of the organisation help to ensureeffective support can be provided to help families through difficult times.

Job Information

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help support a safe, welcoming, neutral and childfriendly environment where children and young people can have contact with their parents. These roles haveflexibility and sessional staff can be based in Glasgow, or Kilmarnock, or both.

Sessional workers will be working within centres and overseeing both Supervised Child Contact and Supported ChildContact. Sessions will require professional reporting, note taking, forming statistical records and evaluationsof work undertaken; these aspects will form the basis of Court Reports and Progress Forms for each case. Inaddition, Child Contact Sessional workers will work in pairs and provide support should there be situations ofconflict between parents and / or children. Sessional Workers will maintain a caseload of clients and will beresponsible for ensuring that case discussions and case reviews are held regularly.

This role will include 12 weeks of supported training and shadowing with a senior practitioner. Ad hoc trainingcourses will also be available for related courses that will enhance the service performance.
