The Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst is a key position in the delivery of Data Centre Infrastructure Support Services to ONNEC Clients.
Reporting to the account Service Delivery Director, the Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst will be site based and be responsible for supporting the engineering teams during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes at multiple client Data Centre’s.
(In certain circumstance this may be multiple country locations and/or may include some Campus Sites).
The Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst is responsible for the quality controls of the day-to-day activities for all Campus sites.
Working with the CustomerSite and Technology Leads to improve the operational systems; processes and procedures in support of enhanced service deliverables and management reporting.
The Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst, may be required to visit sites through EMEA, US and APAC.
What we’re looking for in ourData Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst:
- Experience inData Centre Hardware IMACD.
- Experience in Database and software programming languages such as Python.
- Experience in Data Analytics and reporting.
- Previous experience in Programme & Project Management.
- Experience working in banking IT environment.
- Experience inin a Data Centre Moves Adds and Changes environment (IT Hardware deployment).
- Advancedexperience in structured cabling installation, fault finding and testing with fluke test equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of structured cabling standards and cable types (FTP,UTP & Optical Fibre)
- Self-starter, organized, detailed-oriented and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Prioritization skills and multitasking ability.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Expert knowledge of Asset Management Systems
- Expert knowledge of Ticketing Systems
- Expert understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes.
- Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes and procedures.
- Ability to approve / sign off training modules.
- Ability to lead / supervise special projects from design through to handover.
- Ability to Co-author and take technical lead on processes and procedural documentation.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong oral and written communications
- Advanced knowledge of performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution and risk management.
- Experience gathering and data analysis to effect meaningful change in areas that need improvement.
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes.
- Exceptional coaching abilities that foster top talent and promote a culture of excellence.
- Ability to communicate and drive the strategic direction of the group, delivering technology solutions that meet internal and external needs.
- Expertise prioritizing customer experience, reviewing feedback, hosting customer forums and focus groups to proactively address the needs of the customer.
- Effectively collaborate with peer groups to identify and highlight best practices in support through continuous assessment, and elevating process and product recommendations to senior managers.
- Provide a stable and resilient operating environment. Emphasis shall be applied towards maximizing the potential of all available resources, expanding the capabilities and productivity of technical staff, and continuing to improve upon past performance.
- Proactively identify gaps in process and offer ideas for improvement in areas that require remediation or enhancement.
- Expertise in core technologies related to Data Centers.
- Experience supporting enterprise-class hardware deployments.
- Strong Technical knowledge of physical infrastructure (compute, network, storage).
- Understanding of network concepts (switching, routing, perimeter security).
- Experienced Service Delivery professional.
- Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and project delivery disciplines.
- Supervisory of people and management skills.
- Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services
- Satisfactory Skills Matrix score
- Be an ambassador for ONNEC Managed Services, working across the business to provide effective communication and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue and cooperation between departments.

Preferred but not Essential
- Previous training / qualifications within Information Technology field.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library – Foundation & Expert (ITIL)
