As a British Steel Maintenance Engineer within our Ore Preparation Plant here at the Scunthorpe site, you'll be involved in the development, testing, improvement and maintenance of complex manufacturing processes and infrastructure.

You’ll be expected to preside over the overall mechanical and structural maintenance operations for your plant area, Lead, support and mentor the maintenance team, manage relationships and orders with multiple vendors for both services and goods. Ensure the processes, systems, equipment and people are maintained and developed effectively and efficiently to meet the Plant requirements with a focus on safety, manufacturing, cost, quality and Continuous Improvement.

Experience with these types of assets and heavy industry is desirable.

Combining your technical and engineering knowledge, you'll know how to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualified to HNC/Degree level or equivalent in a mechanical discipline with demonstrable experience in a similar mechanical biased role, you will need to be someone who works well in a fast, high paced, customer focused environment.

You will assist and coordinate the Scope of Works to be carried out during Shutdowns and implement in conjunction with the Maintenance Engineers team. You will be required to monitor and report in line with modern maintenance principles.
