About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Corporate Legal Counselto join our legal team. You should have a strong background in corporate law, with expertise in advising and supporting internal stakeholders on various corporate matters. If you excel at working independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and providing strategic legal guidance to drive business objectives, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, sanctions, and import/export regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements, including mergers, acquisitions, and financing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess and mitigate legal risks.
  • Develop and monitor company policies, including KYC and compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends.
  • Prepare corporate filings and submissions.
  • Manage external legal counsel to ensure cost-effective services.
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal issues and compliance matters
  • Provide proactive legal advice to support business objectives.

You will ideally need the following:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
  • 5 years PQE in corporate law, preferably in-house or at a reputable law firm.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing corporate transactions and complex legal matters.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to provide strategic legal advice.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
