As an Assembly & Workshop Technician, you will be an integral part of the engineering team, responsible for the electrical and mechanical manufacture, fitting, and assembly based on engineering schematics and drawings. Building complete machines from CAD models and drawings, including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and cable routing.
Wiring control cabinet panels from detailed wiring drawings.
Using hand tools and equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies.
Preparing parts and sub-assemblies for smaller systems.
Performing mechanical and electrical modifications during build and test phases.
Developing your automation, mechanical, and electrical skills through hands-on work.

In addition, you will travel to customer sites for planned installations and support, both within the UK and overseas, integrating systems onto production floors and performing on-site repairs and maintenance.

3-5 years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
~ Hands-on knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical building, and pneumatics.
~ The ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings accurately.
~ Experience with manual and powered hand tools.
~ NVQ Level 3 or BTEC Level 3 plus an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
~ Experience using manual mill, lathe, band-saw, and general workshop machinery.
~3-tonne forklift licence.
