Core Skills

  1. Experience with load balancing technologies (F5, AVI)
  2. Ability to configure Skyhigh Web Gateway proxies.
  3. Strong DMZ architecture and engineering experience
  4. Experience and working knowledge of VPN designs and configuration on Cisco platforms.
  5. Experience and working knowledge of BGP and Multicast
  6. Working knowledge of DNS
  7. Strong communication and technical analytical skills
  8. Network security and compliance.
  9. Troubleshooting and issue resolution
  10. A good, strong team player but capable of self-working
  11. Strong client focus

Experience/Qualifications

  1. Proven experience (5 years) as a Load Balancing and Proxy Network Engineer.
  2. Proven experience (5 years) implementing and configuring Cisco switches and routers.
  3. Strong proficiency in configuring and managing load balancers (F5 and AVI) and proxies (Skyhigh Web Gateway).
  4. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
  5. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., F5, AVI, Cisco) will be an advantage.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Eliciting, analysing, and documenting technical application and service requirements
  2. Working with multiple technical teams to identify end-to-end solutions that balance business, security, availability, and resiliency requirements.
  3. Creating and documenting designs utilising design patterns and standard approaches to best meet requirements.
  4. Configuration of devices to deploy new services into production
  5. Participating in the prioritisation and scheduling of implementation activities.
  6. Managing stakeholder requirements
  7. Active participation in the Change Management process
  8. Assisting with the troubleshooting of existing and new implementations to resolve issues identified in testing and improve services.
  9. Identifying / managing the mitigation of risks within the operational environment.
  10. Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully.
