UK Based Nuke Compositors Mid / Senior / lead / comp supervisor

We have positions available for onsite at our office in Covent Garden London and also some remote positions

Position Overview:

As a Nuke Compositor at Midas VFX, you will play a pivotal role in the post-production process, responsible for seamlessly integrating visual elements to create breathtaking final shots. Working closely with our talented team of artists and supervisors, you will utilise industry-standard compositing software to bring together various elements, including CG, live-action footage, and other assets. Your artistic eye and technical expertise will be essential in producing stunning visual effects that captivate audiences worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the compositing supervisor and VFX team to understand the creative vision and requirements for each shot.

Use Nuke and other relevant software to integrate visual elements and achieve high-quality results, including keying, tracking, and matte painting.

Apply colour correction and grading to create a cohesive look and mood for the final shots.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex compositing challenges, ensuring the highest level of quality in the final output.

Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth integration of compositing work into the production pipeline.

Stay current with the latest industry trends and techniques, continuously improving your skills and sharing knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

A strong portfolio showcasing your compositing skills and examples of previous VFX work.

Proficiency in Nuke compositing software and a solid understanding of node-based workflows.

Experience in a compositing role within the film and television industry.

Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
