THE ROLE

As part of our growth plans, we are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented Senior Sales Executive to join our team. Following an expansion of our service offering, the successful candidate will be key in establishing our presence in new markets, expanding our client base, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the growth of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify business opportunities, industry trends, and potential clients.
  • Identify and engage with new clients, addressing their business challenges and positioning Abstract Group as the preferred technology partner.
  • Create and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads from initial contact through to successful contract closure.
  • Managing client communication effectively, ensuring queries or potential business opportunities are identified and followed up in a timely manner.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs, and ensuring satisfaction with our services.
  • Identify opportunities within the existing client base to cross sell Abstract’s additional services.
  • Collaborate with our technical teams to develop compelling and customized proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Present proposals to clients, effectively articulating the unique value proposition of Abstract's services.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and Abstract Group.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, Abstract Talent, and technical experts, to ensure accurate market representation.
  • Work closely with marketing to manage any incoming leads.
  • Provide valuable feedback to enhance Abstract's service offerings based on client needs.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance against targets, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Utilise CRM (HubSpot) to track and manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Experience of successfully developing business on behalf of a technology organisation.
  • Good understanding of IT services and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing leads independently and facilitating complex sales.
  • Experience selling multiple service lines within the technology sector.
  • Results driven with demonstratable experience of achieving sales targets.
  • Comfortable with navigating conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to drive business development activity independently whilst collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage simultaneous deadlines and a variety of clients.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working with clients in the private equity sector or an understanding of that sector.
  • Experience using HubSpot to manage leads.
  • Experience of operating within a start-up or high growth environment.
  • Experience of selling to clients from various sectors.
