McBride Sport have been retained to lead the search for an experienced and motivated General Manager for the UK division of an international sports technology provider. Operating in a highly specialised and technologically proficient environment, the UK team plan, develop, manufacture, and sell sports technology equipment with a wide product range as well as delivering contracted services to high profile sports clubs and global sporting events. Although relatively small in the UK, the team is supported by international colleagues to enable the delivery of an impeccable service & customer experience. The organisation is ambitious for the future and are looking to identify and appoint a General Manager capable of not only maintaining the high standards of service delivery to some of the most important moments in global sport, but also an individual with a hunger to grow the business commercially, with the addition of new, profitable sports contracts from across the international sports industry.

You’ll be reporting to the global Managing Director, the role of General Manager presents an opportunity to join an outstanding global brand and lead a small but highly capable and motivated UK team to deliver the next phase of commercial growth. We are looking to identify professional Managers looking to take the challenging next step on their career journey who are excited to join a global brand operating in the sports industry and have previous skills and experience in effectively leading, motivating and managing a small team of technology and service delivery professionals.

Working with autonomy, you will drive the strategic direction of the business ensuring commercial growth through the development of new & existing contacts from across the international sports sector. You will have previous experience of operational and financial management – ideally with offsite events, installations, or service delivery models along with business development and client relationship management skills. This role represents a unique opportunity to join a sports brand and play a key role in the future growth of their European & International operations.
