Job Description: We are seeking a committed and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the PRU setting. Your responsibilities will include: Providing individualized support and intervention to students facing challenging behaviours and barriers to learning. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement targeted strategies to address underlying causes of difficult behaviours. Facilitating re-engagement with education through personalized learning experiences and therapeutic interventions. Supporting students in developing pro-social behaviours, emotional regulation skills, and resilience to overcome obstacles. Requirements Previous experience working with students in alternative provision settings, such as PRUs, is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students facing complex challenges. Empathy, patience, and resilience in supporting students through periods of transition and emotional turmoil. A proactive and solution-focused approach to identifying and addressing barriers to learning and behaviour. Relevant qualifications or training in education, special educational needs (SEN), counselling, or related fields would be advantageous.
