Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder Temp to Perm, £16p/hr, Days, Mon to Fri LEEDS I am looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to work for one of my clients, an Engineering firm based in Leeds. This role is on the Day shift and is a Temp to Perm position. To be successful you must come from a Sheet Metal Fabrication background and must be able to MIG and TIG Weld to a high standard. Other key skills you will need include:

  • Read, understand and work from technical drawings
  • Good knowledge of Light Gauge Sheet Metal
  • Experience of Welding with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminium
  • Previously used Machinery including Press Brakes, Guillotines and Rollers
  • Possess good Finishing skills
  • Safety, Environmental and Quality awareness
Day to day tasks will include:
  • Assembling and Fabricating/Welding a wide variety of different products
  • General Light Gauge Sheet Metal Fabrication
  • Ensure productivity is maintained and all targets met
  • Use Hand Tools and Mechanical equipment where necessary
  • Ensure units are adequately prepared ready for painting
  • Keeping the workshop clean and tidy at all times
You will be required to work 7.30am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday. The Pay Rate for the role is £16p/hr and the role is advertised as Temp to Perm.
