Fire Sprinkler Technician

The Homesafe Group (Ecotect Engineering Limited and Homesafe Fire Servicing), is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable people to join their Fire Sprinkler Installation and Servicing teams. Fire Sprinkler Technicians fit sprinkler heads and dedicated pipework (either CPVC or press-fit steel) and ancillary components into new build housing, care homes and apartments. They also retrofit systems into existing property. They can also maintain and routinely inspect both company designed and adopted residential and commercial fire sprinkler systems and other related fire protection such as dry risers. Skills and experience: Manually skilled, ideally from a plumbing or fire sprinkler background, and suited to hands-on working. Experience in the fitting of both CPVC and steel pipe work is desirable, along with experience of system servicing. An ability to install and fit pumps and control panels, would be beneficial, but not essential as mentored training will be provided. Able to read and understand technical construction drawings, adhering to the measurements and components within the design. A valid CSCS Health & Safety card is essential. A SSSTS qualification would be a distinct advantage but not essential. A clean UK driving licence is essential for this role, along with the willingness to work away from home on occasion. They will also possess or develop considerable interpersonal skills to communicate with all types of people effectively, from fellow trades and site managers to facilities managers and members of the public. For servicing roles, a basic DBS check (or equivalent) will be required. Some North West working, some weeks further afield for 2-3 nights.
