Fuels Distribution System Mechanic - If you are a dedicated and skilled individual with a passion for excellence, we invite you to join our team at the United States Air Force, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, RAF Lakenheath. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in maintaining, inspecting, installing, repairing, replacing, and modifying liquid fuel storage and distribution systems and their electrical components.

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and performing preventive maintenance on fuel systems and components, ensuring their safe operation. Your hours of work will be 39 hours per week on a fixed schedule Mon-Fri 07.00 where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
Inspect and test fuel receiving, storage, and distribution facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of liquid fuel systems and components.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of liquid fuel distribution systems.
You will show knowledge of the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical components such as electric motors, disconnect switches and have knowledge of safety regulations and practices. An NVQ/City and Guilds Level 2 in Welding, Mechanical Engineering certification with experience in fuels, or HND/HNC/BTEC , is desirable. A valid UK driver's Category B driving license required.
