Summary:

Our client is the UK’s leading Solar O&M company, currently expanding the number of sites they manage across the UK. Due to this growth, our client is introducing the role of HV Contracts Manager.

The role involves supporting technicians remotely, conducting site visits, and ensuring high H&S standards. Responsibilities include managing HV documentation, partner framework operations, and building client relationships. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of DC, LV, and HV systems and be able to diagnose issues remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • General management of day-to-day operations
  • Manage HV contractors and PM contractors
  • Oversee HV maintenance tracker for your region
  • Support field teams and control engineer duties
  • Manage O&M corrective projects with contractors
  • Assist with AP training and new HV contracts
  • Develop contractor relationships and authorise RAMS
  • Engage with clients on HV issues
  • Support HV team recruitment and training
  • Project management of corrective work
  • Contribute to HV business plans and uphold company values
  • Assess risks and stay updated on industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policy
  • Recommend improvements and investigate complaints
  • Maintain positive stakeholder relationships

Key Requirements:

  • 18th Edition Electrical Regulations qualification
  • Senior or Approved Authorised Person authorisation
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or HNC qualified (preferred)
  • 5+ years experience with high-voltage equipment
  • Knowledge of HV & LV distribution systems
  • Experience with central inverter manufacturers (preferred)
  • Experience in large-scale solar projects
