Salary up to £65,000 per annum (pro-rata for part time hours)

We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team covering ourHeadington practice 2 days per week.

When you join Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, you are joining an independentbusiness. Although we are national, we are not a huge chain which means we understand the importance of local relationships and the power of choice. We aim to deliver obsessively great service to each and every one of our clients which is at the core of what we do. We have thelatest diagnostic equipment, the latest technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames, and the latest fashions.

At Bayfields, we are passionate about the services we provide our clients in Headington. Our eye testsare so thorough which is why we only employ highly trained Optometrists to provide our clients with the best quality care and so you get to know your clients in more depth. You will provide a 45-minute eye exam which gives you time to really understand your Clients’ needs and lifestyle and then recommend solutions that fit best to that lifestyle by following the GOC and College of Optometry guidelines.

Alongside having your Optometry Degree and being GOC registered, you will have excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build strong relationships with your team members, peers, and clients. Accuracy and attention to detail are vital for this role in line with being able to make clear recommendations and clinical decisions.

As an integral member of the team, we will provide an enjoyable professional working environment which is fun, open and where we are committed to supporting you, your professional development, and your personal wellbeing. We will also provide a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Competitive salary up to £65,000 per annum (pro-rata for part time hours)
  • An additional day’s holiday for your birthday each year.
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Simply Health Medical Insurance.
  • Family & friends discounts (Eye-Tests, Glasses, Sunglasses and Hearing Tests).
  • Paid professional fees (GOC and professional indemnity which is currently the AOP - if part time pro rata).

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a Certificate of Sponsorship.

If you are ready for a new and exciting opportunitythen we would love to hear from you.
