Our client's hospital is a part of Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare, with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics. Recognised as one of the UKs top 5 best big companies to work for, they pride themselves on delivering complex surgeries and exceptional patient care. As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be an integral part of the Theatre department, contributing to quality care across a range of services at their hospital in Great Missenden. The succesful appplicant will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase
  • Supporting, coordinating, and assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department
  • Providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care
  • Leading patient care delivery during assigned periods
  • Conducting and ensuring adherence to patient safety checks
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements or Skills:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • First surgical assistant certificate (desirable)
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course
  • Approved/recognised anaesthetic course
  • ILS certification and orthopaedic skills
  • Previous experience in an acute healthcare environment and in managing a clinical team
