The selected candidate will be employed through Ordtek and will work from our Hethel, Norwich office.

A degree in engineering, geophysics, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the offshore survey, geoscience, or UXO industry, with a proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects.

As the Senior UXO Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the projects for all territories except for Europe. Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful implementation of Venterra's services and solutions, while adhering to local regulations within each territory.

Act as lead and point of contact with clients on project deliverables throughout the lifecycle of a project and offering ongoing support for client operations.
Technical report writing, including project bridging reports, geophysical survey specification, technical notes, and final certification for project specific activities.
Provide technical tender support to both clients and internal proposals.
Review incoming client geophysical data against client project deliverables.
Interpret incoming project data and produce offshore reports for further investigation, including use of GIS, Oasis Montaj and other software to interrogate data.
Writing, proofreading and reviewing technical deliverables.
Carry out research on new technologies and equipment applicable to offshore geophysical survey.
Attend client meetings within the UK and internationally either in person or via remote means for project kick off, progress and update discussions.
Provide training and learning opportunities for junior engineers and others within the company.

Familiarity with the UXO risk management industry, including survey and clearance techniques.
Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire teams, drive performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Excellent business development and strategic planning skills, coupled with a customer-focused mindset. Demonstrated ability to identify and seize new opportunities for growth.
Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Demonstrated ability to analyse complex situations, identify potential risks, and develop practical solutions to ensure project success.

Candidates should also be highly organised and motivated individuals with effective communication skills, a good work ethic, and a commitment to technical excellence, personal efficiency, and career progression through Continued Professional Development. Own transport is essential due to the location of the office.
