Our client is a boutique MEP Design consultancy with an impressive client list in the data centre sphere. With a specialised Critical Systems team that drives efficiency in mission-critical buildings, they manage to stay ahead by hiring the best engineers and using pioneering technologies. They are currently 30 engineers strong across the teams and work on DC projects across the UK and Europe. They offer a generous salary above market rate and also allow for 3 days WFH, giving you the flexibility to pick the days.
As part of our client's team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues across various disciplines, driving the delivery of technically exceptional and profitable projects. You'll be responsible for monitoring budgets and timelines, ensuring designs meet high standards, and maintaining clear communication with the broader project and client teams.
Additionally, you'll be backed by senior staff within the team to help you achieve success.
A degree in Electrical Engineering or Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng equivalent).
# Experience: Proven experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally within a data centre or critical systems context, including electrical distribution and power generation systems.
# Extensive knowledge of electrical theory, proficiency with relevant design software, and a strong background in detailed coordination with other design disciplines.
# Team Leadership: Ability to manage and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, supporting their growth and development.
# Design Excellence: Proven ability to produce schematic diagrams, conduct fault and discrimination studies, prepare specifications and project reports, carry out site inspections and surveys, and develop detailed designs—all with a passion for accuracy in electrical systems design.
