Job Title: Key Stage 1 Class Teacher

Start Date: After Easter, September start also considered

Are you a primary school teacher, an ECT or soon to be qualified teacher who is passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring pupils? GSL Education are currently partnering with local primary schools in Bournemouth and Christchurch to find Key Stage 1 teachers who are willing to join as flexible or permanent additions to their teaching team.

While the schools are primarily mainstream primary settings, Key Stage 1 teachers may also be involved in supporting students with Special Education Needs, and working alongside other professionals to help support the diverse needs of the class. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable.

The teaching positions are full-time, however part-time applicants will also be considered.

Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE)
Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies
Previous experience of working in a primary school is preferred, not mandatory.
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education
Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks

Ability to differentiate during lessons to ensure all pupils’ needs are met
Ability to teach Key stage 1 effectively.

Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
