The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager this role is to maintain and repair all equipment. . Salary: Up to £39,000. Shifts: The role is working days on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights). Key Accountabilities:

  • Attend to breakdowns and undertake reactive maintenance to enable continued production
  • Use and record PPM’s and breakdowns
  • Ensure all PPM’s are up to date
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to the department
  • Being the ambassador for the site at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers
  • Undertake other jobs as reasonably requested within the scope of the job to improve the running of the department
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Mechanical Engineering Background
  • Experience of working in a heavy engineering background
  • Relevant engineering qualifications – minimum Engineering NVQ or equivalent
  • Ability to work unsupervised (although advice and guidance will be available where required)
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Self Motivated
  • Strict and tight timelines for work
