Access Talent Group have partnered with a British SME Engineering Consultancy that focusses on civil and construction projects in the Marine and Nearshore market. Our client works the world over with projects in the UK, Northern and Mediterranean Europe and Africa and is currently in fully fledged expansion mode due to a continued string of successful project wins and deliveries. Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join around the Senior level and jump headfirst into the job book that is bursting at the seams.

As a Senior Geotechnical engineer, you will be expected to hit the ground running and contribute directly to existing and new project design processes, including port expansions, quat wall re-designs and new build dockyard infrastructure and construction. As a Senior member of the team, our client expects you to also mentor more junior members of the wider engineering team. Due to the nature of our clients work, there is a unique opportunity to be able to work cross discipline should you wish – there is no pressure to do so – meaning you could add a structural engineering strig to your bow, or assist with the subsea and naval architecture work. Your focus on Marine projects could also be a totally new experience to you – our client is more than flexible with expereince and encourages those with building structures project experience (Basement design, retaining wall design etc)

Applicants should have:

  • Experience using Plaxis 2D, Wallap and other similar software packages

     
  • Basement, wall and foundation design expereince – Marine related expereince a big bonus but not essential

     
  • The right to live and work in the United Kingdom

     
  • The ability to work in either central London OR Bristol
