(A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a supportive team and deliver complex Construction Projects whilst being responsible for developing and managing cost plans to ensure financial efficiency.
Reporting to the Programme Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the Construction team, responsible for developing and maintaining cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects (typically greater than £100 million), working on full life cycle projects from inception through to completion.

Preparing detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs.
Controlling project costs and preventing overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Conducting accurate measurement, rate analysis, and risk assessments.
Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value.
Administering contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded including change management.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working within a live environment, have a flexible and adaptable approach with problem solving skills and an innovative outlook.

Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects typically over £5 million.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field.
Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations.
